Also, by telling him to do something else, you're taking away an effective part of his game that few are as good at as he is. We, no, the team and the trainers that know exactly what he injured and how, yes. It's a reasonable suggestion reinforced by some of the injuries we do know about.
I don't understand why you isolated only the negative in changing his style of play. It's not like those things are gone and there is nothing to replace them.
