Really? Just Hainsey's reach makes him that much better in the defensive zone (7 inches taller). Bouillon is most likely better defensively at this point, but Hainsey has to learn at some point and sitting in Hamilton wont help. He will be a fixture on our defense shortly and we might as well give one of our young defenseman some experience if we want to become cup contenders shortly.

Anyway you're so sold to Hainsey that you only see what you want to see; Yes Hainsey ha d + 3 , because he played at the start of the season when the canadians where leading the league with all the goals they 've scored at that time.
Maybe his play resulted in some of those goals? He did score 1 goal and got a 1st assist on another. Hainsey has the rare ability to get the puck on net 90%+ of the time from the point. We'd be using him as a 6th defenseman with PP time, he wouldnt be on the ice during end of game situations, we have Souray and Markov for that. He was sent down because of his lack of effort, and his latest games in Hamilton lead me to believe he wants to come back up, especially registering multiple points in several games since hes been sent down.

Playing 9-10 minutes on the pp or when the team is leadind 4-1 is something , but playing beside Rivest in all situations for 20 minutes/games is something else .Be more objective and you are going to understand that if Hainsey will be the player you see on him , the Canadians would have call him since a long time.
And now we continue with the Rivet bashing. Hainsey rarely played on the PP when he was here which is unfair, because thats where he excels. They wanted to see what Hainsey could bring to the team, but they didnt have the nerve to place him on the PP more than a minute each game. Its all CJ's decision, and like most Habs coaches before him he rather play veterans than develop some players for the fear of losing his job. Our D corps is aging and we will have to ease in players at some point.
