Yes, because coach Therrien is asking them to bank the puck off the boards and turn over possession. He also asked Diaz to to put Eller in a position where he gets his head taken off.

The game is split second decisions, our D is not the best. This is a personnel issue, not a coaching problem. We have Subban who can clear the puck rather easily with possession, we have Markov who looks like a shell of himself, Gorges who's offensive instincts and skating is non existent, Diaz who is in his NHL pro year(missed a chunk of the season), Tinordi who doesn't even have enough games to qualify as a rookie and Francis Boullion who is ok as a 6th dman if the other parts are in place.

Coaching is rarely of consequence unless you have an extremely bad coach like Cunneyworth. If you don't have the horses, it doesn't matter if you're Scotty Bowman.

Therrien over achieved with this bunch and I'm confident we will win this series still. What you site as poor coaching is actually poor execution, not poor coaching.
