No one said one year wonder. Neither did anyone say his season is being taken lightly.
Zykov's numbers outside of the Q (Russia, internationally) are unimpressive. You always have to be weary, because fact of the matter is we don't know if he can keep up this kind of production, improve on it, or fall back down to earth. There's no frame of reference for his development.
To add to the argument that he came out of absolute obscurity: in 2011-2012 in the MHL he had 11 points in 52 games, his teammate Sergey Tolchinsky had 34 points in 51 games.
Like I said, you always have to be careful with those guys that come out of nowhere and put up a good season because we know even less about them and they're even more difficult to project.
