I agree with Enoch. Making the playoffs essentially makes you a contender especially with Pekka. Yes there are the Chicago's and Pittsburgh's but they will not have cap space. Heck look at Vancouver, they were a contender for several years and never won now they could be swept in the first round tonight.

Speaking of Vancouver, they need a change, what about us trying to trade for the Sedins? We are one of the few teams that could afford them in both assets and cap space.
On a bizarre side thought idear if Vancouver has a fire-sale, what about trading to get Hamhuis back to solidify our 2nd pair? If there are changes there, I would think he'd be available for the right young defensive prospects...
