Pens will trade Tarnstrom at the deadline for the best they can get. Not that his salary is bad, its just the pens are really trying to survive the 04' lockout. The pens also have some bluechip prospects almost ready to sign contracts. Tarnstrom will be in demand come playoff time being that he is reasonably responsible in his own end, has a good shot on can qb a PP unit, has shown some leadership qualities in his time in the league, and can be had without significantly increasing the budget.
He will actually probably bring more than what Straka did based on contract and need for 3-5 dmen in the playoffs. (Although it looks like the Straka deal is not looking to bad from a pens point of view w/ Anshakov at WJ's and Strbak playing decent in the pens) Expect another young, possibly unsigned high draft pick and/or a pick for Tarnstrom come the deadline.
