Stalberg took an offensive zone penalty in Game#3 and then had a turnover just inside our blue line in Game#5. Rightly or wrongly, Q has a very short leash for Stalberg so I wouldn't be surprised is this isn't a message being sent.

Saad seems to be weaker on his skates in the latter part of the season and into the playoffs than he was earlier in the season. He's been getting knocked down with regularity lately and I wonder if he hasn't gotten physically worn down. After playing 59 games in the OHL in 10/11 and only 44 games in 11/12, he played 31 games in Rockford and 46 games for the Hawks this season - a whole lot more games than he's ever played before. He very well could be physically and mentally exhausted.

The bottom line is the team comes first and if the team is better with other players in the lineup than Stalberg and/or Saad right now - so be it.
