You can't just say he approached game 3 wrong but it doesn't matter because it was only one game. That was a huge game! It was 20% of the series! You can't simply absolve him of all accountability because he might have been trying.
If you honestly think the only thing that happened is that we outshot them and Anderson was better than Price, plus we had injuries, I could be just as tempted to call you clueless. A lot more goes on during games than that.
No it doesn't mean you can't evaluate a coach because you don't know what's going on behind closed doors. I mentioned some of the lines on the PP, you talked about Galchenyuk being benched, that's all fine. Those are good questions to ask.
Saying that ''he didn't try to make Anderson's life harder'' however is completely speculative, and so holds very little water.
And no, you can't call someone clueless for saying
things that actually happened
. Anderson did outplay Price by a lot, and we did suffer a lot of injuries, that's not an opinion based off speculations, those are cold hard
. If bringing forth facts is what makes people clueless, then again, you're not living in the real world.
This series wasn't decided on coaching, it just wasn't. You don't get out coached when you outplay your opponents, it simply doesn't work that way.

Once again, I don't think this was the difference between winning and losing this series. I also don't think MT is a bad coach. I just think he had a bad series and contributed to the overall disappointment, along with many other factors.
We disagree, that's fine. I think I've had about enough of writing the same things over and over. You don't see things my way, good on ya. You're entitled. It's subjective. I think my views are well-founded and I'm sticking to them. Good day, sir.
I'm not offended by anything, I'm just a very rational person. It just doesn't happen that a team outplays another while their coach somehow gets out coached.
If your coach gets out coached that means he was able to implement a strategy that neutralize yours. Whatever that strategy may be, shutting down certain players, countering speed with physicality, clogging up the neutral zone forcing dump-ins, wtv, in a nutshell, that's pretty much it along with having the match ups you want.
Getting outplayed for 3 games out of 4 and luckily coming out of it mainly thanks to your goaltending isn't a strategy.
Not sure I understand how anybody can think views mainly based off speculations are well-founded, but it's become clear that we live in two different worlds.
