How many shutouts does that make now? Seven? Eight? This was just a pathetic effort again, against a bad team. What boggles the mind is how they played so well against Philly, Jersey and Vancouver, all top teams and yet when it comes to playing the mediocre bottom feeders, they can't get it together.
Yes, it was only their 2nd loss in the last 10, but still you're at home, you are playing the Coyotes, who are nothing to write home about and you can't even score? Yeah, panic time has set in yet again for the Stars. Note to Dallas: Phoenix is a division rival. You need to win those games. DUH!
Now, it's on the road to L.A. We will see if they can bounce back or if it's back down to the cellar dwelling again. At least Chicago did them a favor and beat San Jose. I make no excuses for this team. They have been bad all year. Everyone knows their offense sucks, but when the D men can't move the puck up or down the ice as they have failed to do all season, you are in for a long hard road.
Hatcher, Sydor for Numminen, Sweeney = A bad defensive season for all.
Someone call Dave Tippett and remind him that Don Sweeney is old and despite his play of late, will burn out by season's end. He is not a top 4 defensemen. Play Daley with Zubov and see what happens?
