Today it is setting in how long I will be out.

I dislocated the tendon that runs over the middle knuckle, but didn't do enough damage to warrant surgery. That was three Sundays ago. I played in our Championship game with it taped up and last week because we were super short (ended up winning with 7 skaters).

Looking at our up-coming schedule and breaks, I decided to miss the next 3 games to allow me 7 weeks for my ligaments to tighten back up which will prevent the tendon from sliding out of place. Each time I play, I get a minor set back, and I just need to let it heal. I can play fine for the most part, but I just need to let it rest completely to heal completely.

In the meantime, I'm going to save the money I'd spend on pickup and put it towards finally landing a kreps curve/e28 pro stock when I find one, and put all my energy into more dynamic workouts to see if I can improve my skating (balance, power and agility) for when I come back for the bulk of the season.
