He is perfectly fine as a full time, third-pairing guy if he plays a like he did last season. Dumping Ballard and Barker leaving Alberts, Corrado, and another guy in the 6, 7, and 8 spots is just fine for depth.

The money will be interesting. I could see two years, 2.7 million giving him a very minor raise on his previous deal.
