There is only so many pro contracts that we can sign. Having a ton of picks is good but trading the later ones is nothing dramatic. Timmins or not its still very likely Drewiske played more games with the Habs than the hypothetical 5th rounder would have.

I think Bouillon is a Therrien pick but Prust, what an acquisition! They had to pay him big bucks to lure him here but it was well worth it. They were certainly bidding with other teams for his service but they knew they needed him and didn't back down. I think signing him set the tone in a good way for Bergevin's tenure. Anyways everyone knew Prust was good but Bergevin and his staff clearly pinpointed that he was the type of leader, personality and impact player (in his way) that the team desperately needed.
