Phaneuf's career average has been 46 points in an 82 games season, and has surpassed 50 twice and hit a career high of 60. Making him a 45-50 point player on average with potential to put up more.
Gagner's career average has been 51 points in an 82 game season, and has never hit 50 let alone 60 points. He was on pace for 65 points this year over 82 games, however this is his career high and should not be considered his average until he can prove to be close to this on a continual bases.
Same goes for Leafs like Kadri, who is not a PPG forward because he came close once so far in a shortened season. He has far more still to prove.
