The wait for defensemen always seems to get exaggerated too. Look at the last few drafts. Gudbranson, Fowler, Tinordi, Pysyk, Faulk, Prout, Larsson, Hamilton, Brodin all breaking in within 1-3 years of being drafted. Murray, Reinhart, Rielly, Lindholm, Trouba from 2012 who look like they'll more than likely do the same. Even some wildcards with Dumba, Pouliot and Koekoek who could be added to that list.
If you are willing to wait 2 or 3 years anyways, why not draft Nichushkin?
