At the beginning of the season, or was it even before the season started, there was a topic on that and at that moment I tought we would be better off not making the playoff and get the first pick or something like that.
As it seems right now, we have to make the playoffs since even if we TRIED to finish last the Pens might very well finish below us.
A reason that led me to believe that we should finish last was that I wasn't high at all on our prospects. I am still not high on Komisarek, but at least Perezhogin and Balej seems to be doing very good in the A, Kastitsyn might become a first liner and Higgins will be a very solid NHL centerman.
Of course we don't have a big star à la Joe Thornton, and we won't have one anytime soon, but we can still put on the ice a competitive team for years to come and I think that we will have to be happy with what we have to be happy with. (

Well, the team has gone over my expectations, I had them penciled for 10th spot in the East, but it looks way better than I tought it would. Way to go Habs.
