Hartford has trouble finishing. They seem to work hard and play solid defense--and have been getting solid goaltending as well--but just don't have enough snipers to win some easy games. McGill recently said that (check the article that King posted about Hartford taking 55 shots and still losing) the biggest problem they have right now is the lack of players who can finish off a play. Also, we should all remember that the Wolfpack is a fairly young team--especially the core of more skilled players--and that it takes time to adjust to playing professional hockey. Plus the fact that a lot of these kids have never played more than 40+ games in a season and have probably hit a period where they have slowed down both physically and mentally a little.

Chances are they will be fine. We all knew that it players like Moore and Tjutin would probably need some time to adjust to the faster pace and size of the players in the AHL. This is the first time most of them are playing against players who are older, stronger and more experienced than they are. And it's not like they have been playing horrible hockey. They still lead their division, even after losing 5 games in a row (don't know how they did last night), so obviously, they have been pretty decent up to now.
