Doesn't matter what you feel like, who do you think realistically was available last and this offseason that we could have gotten? Again, one injury, and they might have to take up top 4 minutes. Take that into account.

Stralman was hurt the past 2 games. That's what our D would have looked like, in the playoffs. That's why I left him out. Again, one injury without MDZ and we're in trouble. Two, and we're ****ed. People are really taking the depth for granted, and to be honest, we're not even that deep at D. Also, aren't you the one saying Stralman shouldn't be playing top 4 minutes?

We can revisit this again in a year if McIlrath is ready for full-time duty and we have a 7th D that you can be happy with playing as the 5 or 6 every night. We don't have that right now. Seems like the rangers organization agrees with me considering we keep drafting defenseman.

You mean when he's a RFA? He will not get that in arbitration or from Sather. Buying out Richards will give us plenty of space. Cross that road when we get there.

Also, regarding the PP specialist thing. How would you know if he could be a good one? The PP has been absolute **** all the years he has been here, and every single "PP specialist" we bring in ends up sucking for us. See: Richards, McCabe, pretty much anyone else signed for the PP.

If a team comes across giving us a good deal and a solid d men back as well, I'm not against moving him. Just don't want to move him under these circumstances right now.
