We need to acquire a pure goal scorer, and no Gaborik does not fit this criteria, he's injure prone, losing his skill and speed, we need a guy who can snipe the corners and is fairly young and consistent. This is my scenario:
My NYR Offseason:

Carl Hagelin: 2 years 5.5m (2.75)
Derek Stepan: 4 years 16.8m (4.2)
Mats Zuccarello: 2 years 3.8 (1.9)
Ryan McDonagh: 3 years 14.1 (4.7)
Anton Stralman: 2 years 4.4m (2.2)
John Moore: 2 years 3.6m (1.8)

Nathan Horton: 4 years 22 (5.5)
Stephen Weiss: 2 years 7.6 (3.8)
Ian White: 3 years 9.9 (3.3)

Del Zotto + JT Miller + mid level prospect for Bobby Ryan and this years second round pick
Brian Boyle for a pick
Taylor Pyatt for a pick

Chris Kreider - Derek Stepan - Rick Nash
Nathan Horton - Derick Brassard - Bobby Ryan
Carl Hagelin - Stephen Weiss - Ryan Callahan
Dereck Dorsett - Oscar Lindberg - Mats Zuccarello

Ryan McDonagh - Dan Girardi
Marc Staal - Ian White
Anton Stralman - John Moore

Henrik Lundvist
Martin Biron

The salary cap is probably the problem with this. I may be in fantasy land right now but that look like a good team.
rather keep JT Miller.. Lindberg might need some time to adjust to the smaller rink in the AHL for some of the year.... rather deal Skjei than Miller... Weiss on the 3rd line.. epic fail. he is not a 3rd line center...
