Thanks to this thread I have now been made aware of the Runtastic app and website, and it's incredible. Before I used LogYourRun and it just just meh...
Just recently bought a pair of Asics Pirhana SP3 for like $30 online, and absolutely love them. By far my favorite barefoot/minimalist shoe that I've tried, and each one weighs 4oz. Like walking on air.
Lately have added sprints to my routine, twice a week. Will sprint for 30-45 seconds, rest for 60-90 seconds, and repeat for about 25 minutes. Nothing competitive, though.
Think the above have both made a huge difference in my long distance running, I normally go for a 10K on Sunday... Had my best time this previous Sunday at like 48 minutes, with no breaks aside from a quick sip of water at the halfway point.
