But my question is this, is there maybe an unwritten rule, that say, if a player hasn't come over, say 10 years after being drafted, like Korneyev, Alex Buturlin, etc. They are basically released?
Or, if a miracle happens, and say... Korneyev has a Lidstrom-esque season, we can just stake a claim on him before any other team?
Not saying it would ever happen...this is just more for knowing any "Hail Mary" options we have out there...
