1) the worst was 1975....nothing is worse than being up 3-0, just knowing the series is over, and then watching it slip away. In this series, when we went up 3-0, the other series was decided, and our next opponent was going to the Broad Street Bullies, (who were in the pugilistic heyday).
According to a Penguin on that '75 team, as soon as the Pen's learned that their next opponent was going to be the Philly, the team wanted no part of the Flyers, and proceeded to give up. Heard that in an interview, with Bob Battleship Kelly. He said, "the team packed their bags, and I mean literally. Guys had all their stuff packed to go home. They shouldn't have been afraid, I went through each of their tough guys that year.".
2) next would be 1993
3) then 2012 Flyers debacle.
