fyi the answer is of course not ...and whoever acquires Luo is going to get a top 10, arguably top 5 keeper for 3-4 years, then likely a step down from that for 3, then a 1.7M caphit for 2-3 years once he retires ... what an albatross that is...
but yeah lets all get on the cousin Dregs' train and deride him as a buyout-only candidate. Certainly fits the prevailing Leaf-Oil narrative, anyway...
I actually agree with your post. And although i do agree that there are pockets of fans that take it to the extreme, i think it's more the cap dropping that is the true value setter here. I'll openly admit that Luongo is a fantastic goalie, but with the landscape changing with the new CBA, that contract has gone from great to horrid with the stroke of a pen.
