Bottom line, management needs to look passed next season because cap management is going to get much harder down the road. Its easy to say "trade Grabo or Trade Liles" but in reality there are slim to no teams teams in a position to pick up these contracts.
Liles is tradeable. Gonchar just got 5 million on a 2 year deal. Streit is likely to sign with Philly for probably something 5 to 5.5 for 3 years if the rumours are correct. Liles can still be a very good PP QB, is better than any of the free agent options available and makes under 4. We might get a lot back for him but he's definitely tradeable.

Grabo is also tradeable and had a down year. One in which he was a new father, didn't play anywhere during the lockout, was sent to a specialist for an ab issue that could have potentially plaguing him all year, was misslotted as a 3rd line center. Everyone has thrown him under the bus very quickly.

The cap will go back up after next season plus Armstrong/Tucker buyouts will stop counting against our cap.

I'm all for trading Komi for a worse buyout with an asset attached. But no way should we have that 2.25 counting against our cap next season.
