How about something crazy like this.

Buy out Bryz and Briere.

Resign Gus, Hall

Sign Streit 3 years 5.5per, Sign Horton 1 year 6.5, Sign a goalie for no more than 3 million. I used Thomas as an example.

We could also add Gagne for about 2.5 mil or keep Meszaros if we Sign a goalie for about 1.75

My Fantasy offseason would be

Sign Streit 5.5 mil, Horton 6.5 mil for one year, Sign a backup goalie like Greiss, Montoya etc.. for 1.5mil
Resign Hall and Gus
Trade Read + 2014 + anything that is not out 2013 first For Ryan

That looks absolutely crazy! I must be high or something.

Horton and thomas make me sad haha. Otherwise not bad. Would like Bobby Ryan on this team but he doesn't fit a need so I don't want to give up a ton for him. I was lurking around the main boards and here is what I came up with.

Traded Read for Bernier. Reads next contract is likely going to be his only big one in his career and I assume he cashes in. I am okay with a Bernier and Mason tandem. Let the best man win and hopefully build for a long term goalie solution. I traded Mesz + Gervais + Holmstrom for Weber and Diaz (One of the few trades both parties seemed to agree on.) I think it gives us tremendous defensive depth (not even including the Great Dane) Wasn't sure who to add but I had Akeson in there, if you remove him you have about 1.8 million in cap space. I think its a pretty solid start and obviously once the season starts you can remove Prongers 5 million. Pretty similar to your first one except no Nathan Horton :-p
