D Kevin Connauton has signed a 3 year extension with Dallas.

The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has signed defenseman Kevin Connauton to a three-year contract through the 2015-16 season. The first year is a two-way deal ($600,000 NHL; $100,000 AHL), while years two and three are both one-way ($650,000 in year two; $800,000 in year three).
Connauton began the season with Chicago of the AHL but finished up with Texas after a midseason trade saw Vancouver trade him along with a 2nd round pick for Derek Roy. Connauton, 23, had 31 points in 69 games last year, along with leading Texas in scoring in the playoffs with 5 points in 9 games. He was originally a third round pick of Vancouver, 83rd overall, in the 2009 draft.

Dan O'Toole: "So if I have this right, only acceptable goal celebration in NHL is to put hands at your sides and then feel shame."
