I think the Flyers will replace Briere's spot with more size even if it means less scoring. I wouldn't mind the Flyers taking a conservative approach resigning Gagne and giving McGinn along look. If he fails then trade a 2nd at the deadline for a PF if they have a legit shot at a long playoff run.

Read - Giroux - Simmonds
Hartnell - Schenn - Voracek
Gagne - Coots - McGinn/Talbot
Talbot/McGinn - Laughlin- Rinaldo
Rosewood

I think Read and Simmonds can open some space for Giroux with their speed and Read has shown he can finish.

If Schenn is going to stay at center he needs someone that can carry the puck on his line. Hartnell and Schenn can both finish from the slot as well as clean up the junk goals,

Coots is still young and can exercise his offensive skills with decent line mates without the pressure of being a 2nd line center.

Possibly, a minor move like picking up Malone. He seems like a possible amnesty candidate in TB.
