Minnesota is going to trade its best non-roster defensive prospect in order to ice a complete lineup and stay under the salary cap next year and compete for the Stanley Cup.

(You know, it probably wouldn't be Dumba but the concept is still there: Sabres need prospects/picks and can take on salary and "suffer" next season; Wild need a starting goalie, salary cap relief and to compete for the Cup next season)
