A couple of things....first Ottawa would likely never go for the Stafford trade. He makes $4m and didn't produce last year.

No way Nashville gives up a chance to pick this high for an overpaid Erhoff and pick 17. I could see Vancouver making a deal like this IF Vanek resigns and my guess is he wants to see what the market is next summer (Wild). Doubtful they pay that much for a rental player.

Finally, I don't see how the Sabres can make these trades and reach the cap floor?
