NBC is owned by Comcast.. a cable company.

The ratings would suggest that it would be worthwhile for NBC to broadcast every game. But they don't. Why? Because they want people to pay for more expensive sports packages. Cable companies force people to pay for a large amount of content just so they can watch a small amount of content.
