It's probably posturing... taking some heat off of the Bernier trade talks and saying "we don't want to overpay, we aren't desperate" ... if the Kings really want to trade Bernier I'm sure they'd settle for a reasonable deal and I don't think many teams around the league would pay what the Flyers would be willing to pay other than Calgary/Edmonton but I doubt the Kings want to see Bernier within their division. Likely why to Philly makes so much sense.

They wouldn't buy out Bryzgalov with another goaltender in place. It's a big decision in so many ways. You'd think they would have a list, likely something like a) Bernier b) Emery c) Mike Smith? ... I know the Flyers were very interested in Bernier, Bishop and then finally Mason for cheap at the deadline. Asking price for Bernier is probably very high right now.

All I know is, Bryzgalov better be gone.
