Info about MHL
In the 2013-2014 season 40 teams from eight nations will compete in the MHL: Bela-rus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Russia plus, new this year, Ukraine and Austria. The regular season will see the league split into the Western and Eastern Conference. The Conferences are, in turn, divided into two; the Western Conference is split into the Central Division (with the Red Bulls) and Northern Division, whereby the Red Bulls will also play against Northern Division teams in the regular season.

Each team will play 56 games during the regular season. 32 teams will qualify for the play-offs, which begin with the last sixteen from each Conference. The Western Conference teams at a glance:

The shortest trip will be to Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic; it is 270km by air, almost 450km by road. The Red Bulls' longest journey takes them via Moscow to Khabarovsk, which is in the far east of Russia and just 30km north of the Chinese border; it's a distance of 8,044km (as the crow flies)!
