Even if they do go the renovation route, there's no way I can see the Saddledome being event ready in the next three months. Keep in mind that there is no flood insurance in Calgary, the city is 3500 ft above sea level. This is going to be an expensive problem to solve for that organization.
I love hockey with all my heart and hate hearing about damage like that, but I have a hard time giving half a **** when human lives are at stake. The Saddledome is just a thing; they'll figure something out. The most important thing is for people (and animals) in the area to stay safe.
