The Habs would be in really rough shape without Niinimaa, whereas Ribeiro's absence hasn't hurt them. He doesn't seem to be compatible with Kovalev and Samsonov. Playing in Dallas, he has a 44% faceoff percentage, so his line's opponents would have the puck 56% of the time. Since those three aren't the greatest defenders, that would have put the Habs at a disadvantage when Ribeiro lost a faceoff.
