Yes and no. I agree that Samsonov and Kovalev are not a good fit. But I also haven't been overly impressed with Plek's so far. I believe it might be too much responsibilty too quickly.

Although never a good idea to break up your top line, I still think the answer might reside with Higgins.

Samsonov - Koivu - Ryder
Perezhogin- Higgins - Kovalev
Kost - Plakanec - Johnson
Begin - Bonk - Downey/Murray
