I am guessing the following:

(a) He was invisible for most of the night - so he may have been benched for a bit in the 3rd...BUT
(b) The Habs were shorthanded for a long stretch in the 3rd, which means Samsonov does not play AND
(c) In the last 5 minutes, with a 1 goal lead, Carbo decided to play a defensive specialist, Begin, on the line. I have no probs with that. I bet if the Habs were down a goal, we would have seen a lot of Samsonov

Look, he did not have a great game, it happens and will happen again. With the Habs being Shorthanded for a large part of the beginning of the game, it might have been difficult for Samsonov to get into the game. Anyway, no reason to panic.
