We Miss Mike Ribeiro!!!
I disagree with your assessments of both players. Ryder will have his best season, although 25 and 30 goals are quite good for a new player. But tell me, how many teams have two 30-goal-scoring right wings? Also, tell me where Ribeiro would fit on this Habs team. It's now a faster team, and the centers win faceoffs, something Ribeiro never could do. Gainey and Carbonneau let Ribeiro go after seeing how poorly he fit in with Kovalev and Samsonov. Plekanec will get more primary assists on Kovalev's goals than Ribeiro did last season and eventually he will score more goals than Ribeiro. Too bad Samsonov has been nearly invisible.
