EDIT: If the Avs actually do wind up not taking Jones and Florida passes on him as well for Drouin/Barkov/Nichushkin, there's a good chance he drops to #5.. which solves the #1, RHD, PPQB issue. Either way, after the draft we'd still have one hole that needs to be filled.
Absolutely. If Jones drops to 5, take him and run away laughing all the way home.
Just as you said, we'd "just" need a top-6 LW.
And again, just as you said, I'd have no problem taking Nichushkin at 5 if both Drouin and Jones go in the top 3. Still a top-quality LW that can step in right away.
One hole either way.
