Two struggling teams can make for some pretty rough hockey and an odd outcome, huh?

I thought the Blackhawks looked pretty good, but a little shakey, in the first. We looked _really_ bad. We improved a bit in the second, but it was obviously still the Blackhawks' game. Then the third happened.

I talked to some Blackhawks fans at the end of the game, and they said Leighton had a pretty bad game and was usually better (I haven't paid much attention to the 'Hawks, apart from recognizing they are struggling). Also, it sounded like a third period meltdown was not uncommon ground for them.

Ugly game, nice outcome for us. Maybe it will trigger a little spark. Phoenix got another shutout tonight. Friday will not be a fun game if we can't play three good periods of offense-generating hockey.
