Having already won a cup, the only thing Richards will be playing for this season (if we keep him) is pride. I had to watch this guy "play for pride" last year and it wasn't pretty. Cut him loose and use the cap space on someone that sucks less and we're already better off
if A happens, the Rangers would have made the smart move to keep him even if he ended up getting hurt next year and not being able to be bought out AND they had a recapture penalty because he retired early.
