That was over a decade ago. I don't see it happening in this draft either. As much as we fans want our teams to maximize value, it is much more important to simply grab the franchise player that is there for the taking at #1. I expect the Avs will do the same.
PIT swapped picks with FLA to draft MA Fluery - and FLA pick Horton

TB traded away the Stefan pick to VAN who than fliped it to Atlanta in the sedin Draft

The Vinny Lacavalier pick was traded away from FLA to SJ than to TB

And the one you mentioned FLA to CLB drafts Nash, FLA takes Bouwmeester

But yeah since the 2003 draft it hasnt been traded away!
