But you CANNOT have a hard cap in the NHL. You can't limit a US team just becuase the US $ is worth more than the Canadian $. Call for parity all you want, but the NFL is a different animal. JR is right when he said that a big piece that is missing in the NHL is the central revenue source that the NFL has. The NHL just does not have it. And, again, you cannot have a similar type of cap when you are dealing with international economics.
