I think one of our biggest problems is that Stephane Quintal has played more than any other defenceman.
Where do suggest we start? I agree with you, as much as I like Jan Bulis, he's no Richard Zednik. The fact that Nik Sundstrom is the fourth best winger we can ice says a lot about our supposed depth. No use having depth if the quality isn't there.
Again we've played well this year, so why blow things up? Quite simply, each night some one does something that sets us above the other team. You can mention team effort, whatever. To me, that means on at least a couple of shifts, everyone worked their butts off. Francis Bouillon and Steve Begin work their butts off, but they're not great hockey players. Spark plugs, okay, and Begin fills a great role for us, but the forward corps is remarkably work. The fact that people mention Steve Begin, my self included, as our potential third line centre says alot. Steve Begin, god love that intensity, is not a third line centre. He's a fourth line sparkplug who can step up and fill a role decently.
We're in trouble, and tonight we really showed what this team can be. We've seen us at our best, and at our worst, so we should be able to hover in and around the middle of 'our best' and 'our worst' this year.
