Thomas has great speed, and a natural noise for the net. he's not like Gallagher crashing the net, he's more of a shooter perimeter player who likes to hit and fight. Yeah he's 5'9" 170lbs.

I remember a scout interview saying the gap between junior/college to AHL is much bigger than from AHL to NHL. Thomas dominated in OHL and he manage to score 19 goals in his first season in AHL. Kristo dominated in college and had a taste of AHL. Both have great speed. Thomas is more of a goal scorer point producing forward whereas Kristo is more shutdown defensive forward. Maybe the Habs just gave up on Kristo thinking that he'll never make it to the NHL.


Bottom line Thomas has more potential than Kristo.
