I'm sure I'm not reading the exact wording of the CBA correctly, but anyone who is in the know about these things, I'd love to know if this is right.

Assume Richards plays here until the final 3 seasons of his contract, the years at 1 Million in salary. If he is traded to a cap floor team, and they buy him out with a normal buyout, they take a 6 million cap hit for 3 years and a 333,333 cap hit for 3 years while only paying out 2 million over 6 years, a benefit to them in some cases. Do the Rangers still get stuck with the Cap benefit recapture penalty?

I'm terrible at understanding the legalese this CBA is written in, but it seems to only mention if the player is retiring early or leaving for another league. I imagine this isn't a loophole that's been left open, but it confused me.
