Stalberg will be good if 60% or more of his shifts start in the offensive zone. That's a big part of why his possession stats (Corsi, etc.) have been so good: Quenneville has put him in a really protected role. His power play production was horrible despite getting the fourth-most ice time among Chicago forwards on the man advantage (Toews, Kane, and Hossa were the only ones higher).

This is a good move if we can add someone better to ensure he plays on the third line, like Ryder or even Brunner.

Cullen makes no sense, regardless of term, unless we're doing something with Gaustad or keeping Wilson on the wing. It's a complete waste of our time and money to go after old fogies and expecting the offense to magically become rainbows and friendship.

I'm interested to see what we do the rest of the day. There are still several big targets out there we could go after.
