I put two Athletics (Donaldson and Colon) and three Giants (Posey, Pence and Romo) on my all-star teams.

I thought about putting Lowrie on the AL team since AL shortstops are so bad, but I decided to have Machado and Seager as the backup shortstops (even though neither of them play short anymore. There are just so many good AL third basemen that I had to find a spot for all of them). Donaldson is the third catcher as well (again, I had to get creative). Balfour is having a good season converting saves, but I couldn't find room for him, either. Advanced stats like Cook and Doolittle better anyway from your bullpen. Oakland is having a good season record-wise, but they really don't have any individual players standing out except Donaldson and Colon.

Posey is the backup to Molina. Pence is backing up in the outfield. Romo should be used against a tough righty late in the game if it's close. The Giants aren't doing well as a team, but they have some individual players doing well.
