I doubt Barkov wins the Calder. He's still got a lot to do with his physique and the fact that he doesn't get much playing done before the start of the season makes it even harder. My guess is that he scores around 20-30 points if he plays a full season. This isn't based on any data, but IMO often big players take a few more years before they get their game going (Thornton, Jokinen, even Lecavalier come to mind).

When is the last time a player won the calder in his first year after the draft, coming from Europe? (Only Landeskog comes to mind, but he played 2 years in the CHL and was as physically ready as you'll ever see a 18-year-old).
