If anyone is interested in this sort of thing, I'd highly recommend a book called "They Call Me Chief", by Don Marks, about many of the famous NHLers who are Native or half Native. The book comes with a DVD that serves as an interesting bio for some major Native players (Trottier, Johnathan, Neilson, Saskamoose and Nolan are the main focus). The book goes into greater detail than the DVD does on some of the players.

Off the top of my head: Johnathan Cheechoo, Jordin Tootoo, Jordan Nolan, Ted Nolan, Reggie Leach, George Armstrong, Jim Neilson, Stan Johnathan, Bryan Trottier, Fred Saskamoose (who was the first Native to ever play the game, for the Blackhawks, ironically), Theo Fleuy and Henry Boucha (who wore a native headband when he played, being a full Blood Ojibwe, and is also related to T.J. Oshie - they are second cousins.)
