If Perron can play the left (and it appears he can) we have a very, very good top 6. Ya it's not the most physical, but the straight up amount of skill in that top 6 rivals any team.

I hate to see MPS go, and I do think he'll be a good nhl player, but we have a good nhl player RIGHT NOW out of the trade. The 2nd doesn't mean a whole lot to me. Maybe the Blues get a diamond in the rough and it looks terrible in hindsight, but right now this is a good trade. Perron is a pretty damn good player, and certainly helps the team immediately.

I'd like to see some combination of these pairings.

Hall - ??? - Yakupov
Perron - ??? - Eberle

Where Nuge and Gagner go depends on chemistry and a whole bunch of other things.

I hate to split up Hall and Ebs, but the way Yak and Hall clicked at the end of the year, I think you need to see what they can do together.

Gagner and particularly Eberle can create offense on their own anyways.
