when you are offered the money you can't even wrap your mind around, and you're going to play close to home for this money, you consider it. you not necessarily accept it, but you strongly consider it.
I disagree. For many, winning the Stanley Cup is a dream growing up. Money is an afterthought.

Obviously though, for a player coming from overseas, playing away from home can be difficult.
